About The Island

Lubbers Quarters is a beautiful island in the Abacos chain which lies protected from the ocean swells in the Abaco Sound. Located between Marsh Harbor and Elbow Cay, approximately 2 miles south of Hopetown, it is 1 mile long and 1/2 mile wide.

The island offers secluded beaches, exploring, and peace and quiet. Watercolours, with its waterfront location and private dock lies on the southern end of the island catching the trade winds. The location is ideal for the ecologically minded, as Watercolours sits among tropical fruit trees and plants that the guests as well as the humming birds enjoy!

Things to Do

Nearby Tilloo Cut leads to excellent offshore fishing. Sandy Cay, a protected underwater coral seapark, lies directly south for snorkeling and diving. Several great diving, surfing, and fishing spots are within minutes of Watercolours. Our central location is ideal for visiting nearby islands and “settlements” that offer shopping, restaurants and bars. Then you can escape back to the serenity of Lubbers Quarters Cay. Guided diving, sailing and fishing trips including bone fishing are available locally.

Paths for walking or jogging are found right outside the cottage doors. Relax and enjoy the views of the Sea of Abaco from either cottage. Beautiful beaches are only a few minutes walk away. Mark & Patti (the owners) are available for local knowledge or any help you may need.
